Global warming exists due to cutting down all of our trees and emitting mass amounts of chemicals and other pollutants into the air and water. No matter how insignificant you think your individual actions are, you can help the environment and make a difference!
Doing something good for the Earth is as easy as buying clothing. Buying organic, sustainable and ethical clothing is a step. As consumers, we have the responsibility to choose products that do not further damage our environment. Consumers have enormous power over manufacturers. If we make a commitment to buy responsible products over traditionally-made ones that use fossil fuels, manufacturers will eventually be forced to stop production of these harmful items.
Some alternative materials for garments, that have a minimal environmental impact, are organic cotton, hemp, bamboo, soy fiber, milk fabric and biopolymers, which are naturally occurring molecular structures such as cornstarch and proteins. Organic cotton is probably the most common and recognizable environmentally-friendly material. It is grown without the use of chemical pesticides and synthetic fertilizers.
It is very easy to distinguish between organic and non-organic garments. All you have to do is look at the content information on the tag.
After discovering which kind of clothing can have impact on important global issues, are you ready to make room in your closets for clothes that are truly worth the space!?? J Let’s join the army of activists, celebrities, designers, environmentalists, entrepreneurs & concerned members of the human race fight the fight to help save the Earth….our world!!!
